Hazard (official). Rear axle carrier failure can cause a sudden loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Action / remedy (official). Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will replace the rear axle carrier, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 22, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024120015.
