A brake fluid leak can cause brake failure, increasing the risk of a crash. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Official action: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the brake and fuel lines. If improperly secured, Altec will provide a kit to secure the lines. If the lines are damaged, dealers will repair the fuel and brake lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 23, 2025. Hydraulic hoses that overheat can increase the risk of a fire.

A damaged TCCM and disrupted chassis functions can result in a loss of handling and control or brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

An emergency stop that does not shut off the unit during an emergency increases the risk of death or serious injury.

Hydraulic functions that do not immediately stop when the ground level E-stop is pressed, increase the risk of injury.

Official action: Altec will inspect the units and test to verify the E-stop function. If the wiring is found to be incorrect, it will be updated, free of charge. A fastener that has not been heat treated could fail, resulting in separation of the pedestal and turntable, increasing the risk of injury.

Official action: Altec will instruct owners to inspect the lot number on the fasteners and, if necessary, order a rotation bolt kit to replace the fasteners, or schedule service with Altec, free of charge.
