A broken side plate may result in pedestal and truck frame separation, increasing the risk of injury.
Official action: Altec will provide instructions for owners to inspect the mounting frame side plates for cracks. If cracks are found, Altec will repair the side plates as necessary, or provide a repair kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in April 2025. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Official action: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the fuel lines. If the lines are improperly secured, Altec will provide a kit to secure the lines. If the lines are damaged, the chassis manufacturer will repair the fuel lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2025. A front bumper that detaches can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. In addition, the bolts can fail suddenly during winch operation, increasing the risk of injury.
