Hazard (official). A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Action / remedy (official). Dealers will inspect and tighten the screw connections and replace the high pressure fuel pump and fuel lines as necessary, free of charge. The one affected vehicle was repaired. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 23HD. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 26, 2025.
