Hazard (official). The material of which the balloons are made releases an excessive amount of nitrosatable substances and nitrosamines (measured values: 1.83 mg/kg and 0.14 mg/kg, respectively). Nitrosamines can cause cancer if swallowed or through skin contact. A child could be exposed to them if they touch the product or put it in their mouth. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive.
