Hazard (official). The sealing performance of the rear door opener switch can deteriorate over time and may allow water ingress under high-pressure splashes. This can cause a short circuit and unintended activation of the door release. If the door is unlocked, it may open unexpectedly while driving, increasing the risk of injury.
