Hazard (official). Without regular tightening, the hitch bolts can loosen, allowing the top and bottom of the hitch to separate from each other, which could create a hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
Action / remedy (official). Bowlus will provide a supplement to the owners manual. Dealers will inspect, replace, and tighten the hitch bolts, as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 1, 2025. Owners may contact Bowlus' customer service at service@bowlus.com.
