Hazard (official). An air conditioner soft start device that overheats increases the risk of a fire.
Action / remedy (official). Dealers will remove the soft start, free of charge. As an interim measure, owners should have the ICM870-16A-BH5400 soft start removed from their air conditioner. Owner notification letters were mailed June 23, 2025. Owners may contact Kuntry Kustom customer service at 1-260-593-2208.
