Hazard (official). A loose drive belt can result in a loss of power steering, or a loss of alternator and water pump function, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the engine may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Action / remedy (official). Dealers will replace the engine drive belt tensioner and belt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 6, 2024. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 24-111-GUS.
