The deployment of the ammonium nitrate inflator can cause it to burst when there has been a degradation of the propellant. Such a rupture of the inflator can cause metal fragments to be projected at great speed through the airbag into the interior of the vehicle, which can result in serious and even fatal injuries for the occupants. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
