Hazard (official). The product presents a serious risk of fire because the earth conductor is not adequately secured and may become detached during use, compromising the protective earthing function. Testing also identified that the product exceeds the maximum permitted temperature rise, which may cause overheating and increase the likelihood of fire. If a fire occurs, consumers could suffer burns and other injuries. The product is also missing required safety information and instructions. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Action / remedy (official). The import has been rejected at the border.
